About Vinman

I first got into photography at school where the photography club had access to an enlarger, a red light and some smelly chemicals. I joined the club; it was disbanded a month later. Undeterred, I saved for an SLR camera and eventually got a second hand Zenit EM, built like a tank and completely manual. It went everywhere with me for a number of years. Mostly for photography, often for weight training.

Unfortunately I was never able to have a darkroom at home and eventually became frustrated with the quality of lab prints, sticking to transparencies (slides) most of the time.

When digital arrived, and especially the ability to have a darkroom (i.e. Photoshop), I became hooked again.
